Dr. Anthony Shelton received his doctorate in pharmacy and masters in clinical research from Campbell University. Upon graduation he was commissioned into the US Public Health Service, where he served as a pharmacy officer for the Bureau of Prisons in upstate Pennsylvania and the Indian Health Service in northwestern Alaska, before accepting a position as an advanced practice pharmacist at Cherokee Indian Hospital in North Carolina. His focus is on improvement of inpatient pharmacy services, oversight of the pharmacy inventory, and formulary management, emphasizing the importance of being a good steward of organizational resources without sacrificing quality patient care.
