Samuel V. Calabrese, BSPharm, MBA, FASHP, CPEL

Samuel V. Calabrese is the Vice President for the Accreditation Services Office of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) where he oversees the accreditation processes for pharmacy residency and technician training programs. Prior to his role at ASHP he was the Chief Pharmacy Officer for the Cleveland Clinic Health System. Sam received his B.S. in pharmacy from The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and his MBA from Cleveland State University. Sam has been an active member of ASHP where he served as a member of the Board of Directors, chaired the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Quality and Compliance, served as Director at Large for the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders (SPPL) and Chair of SPPL. He has served on the ASHP Council on Pharmacy Management and has been an ASHP delegate for Ohio. He is a past president of The Ohio Society of Health System Pharmacists (OSHP) and has received the OSHP Timothy D Moore Pharmacy Management Award and The Walter M Frazier Award.
