Kari Vavra Janes, PharmD, BCPS (she/her/hers)

Kari Vavra Janes, PharmD, BCPS, is a professor of pharmacy practice at Ferris State University and she practices in inpatient general medicine at Corewell Health in Grand Rapids. Janes graduated from Ferris State University and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Sparrow Health System. Her research interests include adult general medicine and academic pharmacy. Janes has been an active member of the Michigan Pharmacists Association, participating in the Young Practitioner Leadership Academy, serving on the new practitioner committee, and representing the house of delegates. She has been involved with the Western Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists, serving as board member and president. Additionally, she has been involved with the Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists, serving as board member and treasurer. At her institution, she serves as a co-advisor for Rho Chi and has been involved with numerous committees. She is currently the chair of the Pharmacy Education Development and Lecture Series, a teaching and learning curriculum for pharmacy residents.
